Our face has to take us through our whole life so why wouldn’t you invest in it?
If you are still buying face wash and moisturizer from your local grocery store (no judgment) maybe its time to look into a higher end product. I can’t stress this enough! TAKE CARE OF YOUR SKIN! You will thank me later my friends.
As we get older our body stops producing natural oils. So that means our face will become more dry (in most cases) so we must add oil and lotions to help keep the elasticity (the ability of an object to resume its normal shape after being stretched) in our skin. This will help prevent wrinkles and loose skin. It also keeps us looking young and fresh!
I’ve used Elysee since I was 10. I was lucky enough to have family who really invested in their skin so that trait was passed down to me. WOOHOO!
Yes it takes time, yes is costs money but boy is it worth it! I believe a good skin routine will actually save you money in the long run. When you realize you need botox because you never took care of your skin… oops it’s to late. Have you seen the prices for botox and fillers these days?? Its outrageous! I have nothing against botox or fillers! But if you can prevent wrinkles by using a few simple products why not try it out.
I want to break down my nightly routine for you. I’ll even do the dirty work and give you all the links.
Step 1: Creme Cleansing this is a product that is really creamy. You only need to use a quarter size. You don’t need to add any water because it has oils in it so it rubs on your face very smooth and gets rid of all the makeup and dirt. You do need to wash it off with a cloth. If you don’t use a cloth then it will leave your face feeling super greasy.
Step 2: Herbal Fluid this is a type of mask you put on your face directly after you cleanse your face. This product brings all the impurities (dirt and oils) to the surface. *Do not put on eyes
Step 3: Almond Meal this is the best exfoliator ever! It’s really gentle on your skin but it really gets the dead skin. Your skin will feel brand new after this! If your feeling lazy you can stop here and just add a moisturizer and call it good. Those three products are called the three step cleanse. If you do that everyday for a month you will notice a HUGE difference in your skin. It will look more youthful and you will have a more even skin tone. Of course you don’t want to just stop at a month. But you should expect to see great results in 30 days.
Step 4: A Fluid this is also known as a toner. If you have oily skin or a break out this stuff will be your best friend! If you have more dry skin I would only use this a couple times a month. You put this on a cotton ball and rub it gently on your face and the cotton ball will be BROWN! Yep… there was still dirt and oil in your skin even after all the steps above. Guys this skin care stuff is serious business! 😉
Step 5: Bio Oil is one of my favorite products! Depending on your age and skin type will dictate how much you use of this. I am 27 (the cats outta the bag haha) and have more dry skin so I use 2 pumps. This will add so much bounce back into your skin.
Step 6: Eye Cream will go all over the eye. It’s thicker so your eyes can get all the oils they need to help prevent wrinkles. This creates a little barrier between your skin and anything that touches your eyes. Our eye skin is the most delicate skin on our whole body so you want to be extremely carful when we touch our eyes. They will wrinkle and sag before most everything else on our face.
Step 7: Queen of Beauty is a thick face cream. If you use this without the bio oil you will probably over use it and it will feel so sticky and gross. When you use this with the bio oil they work AMAZING together. You put the oil on first and then the cream and they mold together and give your skin so much moisture it will brow your mind.
That wraps up the night routine! It seems like a lot. Well it kind of is. But its so worth it. When we take good care of our skin we feel happier, look more youthful and more alive! Who doesn’t want that? If you have any questions make sure to ask! I’d love to help.
