How is it that my little baby turned 7 over the weekend! I swear I’m still 18. how can I possibly have a 7 year old guys…
I am starting something new so lets see if it sticks. Im going to start blogging about my life and the events that take place. Sorta like a journal! I haven’t ever done it like this before and I really want to try and be as real and in the moment as I can. In the past I have done blog posts like this but they were so planned out and I tried to make it sound all poetic and that always turns into never me writing a post, so here goes!
Evie’s 7th Birthday.
This year we decided to let Evie pick one friend to do something fun with! So she picked her best friend from school. She was so excited and talked about it for weeks! They planned out a whole itinerary for their special day! Haha!
- 1. Go to Subway. Eat in the car.
- 2. Go to Famous Footwear for 10 minutes.
- 3. Go to the mall for 20 minutes.
- 4. Go to Funtopia 1 hour.
- 5. Eat at Chuck-a-rama.
- 6. Go to Froyo.
I seriously love her creative mind! The whole time frame thing was the cutest! Can you tell that her mama has a crazy planned out work schedule? I wonder where she got it from. Haha!
We took Evie and her friend the day before her birthday. Here’s what we did! We went to Mc Donalds to eat and play for about an hour. Then we went to Funtopia. Thats a really fun rock climbing place. It was Evie’s second time going and her friends first time. They both did so amazing! You can climb super high and they were both so brave! They both made it to the top! Evie didn’t quite make it to the top her first time there but she really loves some healthy competition so when her friend made it to the top she was determined to do the same! It was so fun watching them both conquer their fear of heights and having fun doing it!
Last we took the girls to 7/11 to get a slushy. Good thing Anderson was there because he let them pick what ever size they wanted! So of course they had to get the biggest one!
I seriously loved watching Evie interact with someone her age for that amount of time. She was like a different person that night. She had her own personality and I loved watching her be herself!
On her birthday its a tradition to decorate our kitchen/dining room for her birthday. Normally I try to save her gifts for later in the day but I thought this year I would do it different and we set them out the night before so she woke up to some presents on and by the table. She walked down and was loving all her decorations that she completely missed seeing her NEW BIKE! It took her a minute and when she finally saw it she screamed!! “Brakes on the handle bars and a kick stand!” She’s been asking for this kind of bike for a few years! She also got two shirts and two dresses.
We decided to go to kneaders and get their unlimited french toast! Its so yummy! Even though we can hardly finish the two you get first haha. Her favorite part is the cream and strawberries. After that, all Evie has been asking for this year were checkered vans!! So her and I went to the mall to pick out some shoes! She was so excited to get home wear her shoes and ride her new bike with her friends. So we spent the afternoon doing just that.
Then we got ready to go to dinner with me, Anderson and her two uncles. She chose Golden Coral. Because she loves their pizza and deserts hahaha. She was in buffet heaven! She got a few gifts from her uncles. Candy, chips, drinks, nail polish, bath bombs and her very favorite FACE MASKS! Yep, she’s a girly girl at heart thats for sure.
After dinner we went home and sat around because we were all so tired! It was such a busy few days but she loved every second of it! We had so much fun celebrating her!
Happy 7th Birthday Evie girl!
